Η Ελένη ξυπνάει κάθε πρωί στις επτά η ώρα. Πρώτα πλένει το πρόσωπό της και πίνει ένα ποτήρι νερό. Μετά τρώει ψωμί με μέλι και ένα φρέσκο μήλο. Στις οκτώ παίρνει το λεωφορείο για τη δουλειά. Το ταξίδι κρατάει είκοσι λεπτά μέσα από την πόλη. Στη δουλειά γράφει γράμματα και μιλάει με πολλούς πελάτες. Το βράδυ γυρίζει σπίτι και μαγειρεύει για την οικογένειά της. Μετά το φαγητό πλένει τα πιάτα και ποτίζει τα λουλούδια. Πριν κοιμηθεί, διαβάζει λίγες σελίδες από ένα βιβλίο. Η Ελένη αγαπάει την ήσυχη και απλή ζωή της.
